Anatomy of a Landing Page That Converts Cold Traffic

Cold traffic doesn't trust you yet. A converting landing page is really a sequence that earns belief one section at a time.

Anatomy of a Landing Page That Converts Cold Traffic

A landing page for cold traffic has one job: move a stranger from skepticism to action without a salesperson in the room. The pages that do this aren't clever — they're ordered. Each section answers the objection the last one raised.

Above the fold: one promise

A specific outcome, who it's for, and a single call to action. Not your company history. The visitor decides in seconds whether to keep reading; give them a reason, not a slideshow.

Proof before features

The moment you make a claim, the reader doubts it. Follow every claim with evidence — a number, a logo, a quote, a screenshot. Proof is what converts belief into trust.

Handle the real objection

Every offer has one dominant reason people say no: price, risk, effort or timing. Name it explicitly and dismantle it. Pretending it doesn't exist just leaves the visitor to resolve it by leaving.

One offer, repeated

Multiple CTAs that ask for different things split intent. Pick one action and repeat it at every natural decision point as the reader warms up.

The test that matters

Don't A/B test button colours on a page with a weak argument. Test the headline, the offer and the proof — the things that change whether someone believes you. Want a teardown of yours?
